Woolfy - Odyssey

:

Taken from the forthcoming full length album, "If Ya Know What's Good For Ya", Rong serves up a healthy slice of summer Balearicism with these two songs off the LP, "Odyssey" and "1987." Odyssey's robust bass line and probing keys sound a bit like an updated Blockheads song after they met Chaz, while 1987's electro pop tinge falls somewhere in between an early Royksopp number and a Maurice Fulton remix. Over on the B side we have a very special remix of "Two far Gone" by one of NYC's best kept secret's, Carlos Hernandez. You might remember his first and only other production, "Roller Giggle" as the B side to Daniel Wang's "Echo By Midnight" song on the French label Basenotic from a few years back. Disco madness meets Balearic bliss would be the best way to describe Mr. Hernandez's "Natural" mix of Two Far gone. Hothothot!!! [disco] - Rong (rong021)
